A question for you guy and gals, I just sent my packet 3 out and now I need to know something that has to do with the Affidavite of support!! you know how your fiancee is to have 125% of the poverty line what happens if she is not working and is in school and her father is on disability and her mother dont make that much about 23000 after taxes and her younger brother is there too and is to young to work! what would be the best thing to do? and also i found this on a site:

This is what the site said:

Affidavit of Support For Fiancé(e), Spouse, or Child as a “K” Non-immigrant If your relative is either a “K-1” fiancé(e), a “K-3” spouse, or a “K-2” or “K-4” child of fiancé(e) or spouse, you do not need to submit an affidavit of support at the time you file your Form I-129F petition. Instead, you should submit an affidavit of support at the time that your fiancé(e), spouse, or child adjusts status to permanent resident after coming to the United States.

so would that mean i dont have to submit this form till i am living in the U.S. or do i have to bring it to the interview? Thatis my question. Thank you for all your help!

K1 is typically I-134 but you STILL need to show 125% earnings (or make up the difference with assets). You don't need to use family, you could also ask a friend. also, your fiancees mother has a household size of 3, but needs to include you so 4 (unless she claims your wife on her taxes, then it's 5) so she needs to earn $28-32K a year. She can have her husband sign an I-864A and combine his income with hers (I believe disability is still income that counts).

You need to bring the I-134 affidavit of support and the documents that go with it to your K-1 visa interview. Your fiancee will fill out her own I-134, even if she doesn't have income. She is still your primary sponsor. She will need a co-sponsor that makes enough to cover them, their dependents and you at 125% of the poverty level or higher.

After you are in the US and married, you will need to file for AOS and it will require another affidavit of support, the I-864.
