Just got our NOA2 approval for K1 fiancé visa! Thank God! We were making a lot of dua (prayers) during Ramadan!

We were approved in a little under 4 months!

Was just wondering does the Islamabad embassy require a English version of the National ID Card (Shanakthy Card)?

Also my lawyer wants around $2,000 to submit the Packet 3.5 documents to NVC, is that worth it, or is it easy enough to submit everything ourselves?

Congratulations and yes if the ID card is strictly in URDU then a English translation is required. Spending a lawyer $2,000 is not worth it at this point. The amount of documents they ask aren`t much at all and plus he wouldn`t be the one submitting the documents. The beneficiary would have to go to the nearest Speedex or American Express office to submit the documents.

congratz havehope..!!! the wait is finally over.. I guess you now have to wait another 3 months until the interview..

and no, no need to pay 2K.. you can save it for your honeymoon.. gather the sample documents from VJ , and send it over to you fiance..

congratulations, on the noa-2, you can do it yourself,read the guides, read the interviews,go to the website us embassy in pakistan see what forms you need there.down load on your printer,save your money.any questions ask a member on vj .good luck
