Hi Guys,

I have received Interview letter for New Delhi, India consulate today. And it have FNU written prior to my wife's name which means "First Name Unknown". Then I called NVC and they said since in my wife's passport Surname Section is blank. That's why NVC automatically put FNU before his first name.

Since the interview letter is generated with FNU prior to first name, so I am wondering whether visa will be issued like that or what? Any suggestions or advice!!

Thanks !

I also just received an email from NVC regarding my son's corrected name.

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The name was updated based on the documentation received.

We entered the applicant's name as FNU per Department of State

requirements. This format is used when the passport does not indicate a

surname and both names are listed on the "Given Name" line. FNU is our

abbreviation for First Name Unknown. If you can provide an updated

passport with a different name configuration we will update the name.

Case Number: JAK2011xxxxx

Petitioner's Name: ABCDEFG

Principal Applicant's Name: MUHAMMAD KENSAN CDGHK,FNU

Preference Category: CR2

On their previous correspondence, there's no Muhammad but then i asked them to do the correction.
