So my fiancee is flying in on Wednesday, 31st, in the afternoon. Moscow > LAX.... Anyone knows how long it usually takes from disembarking to exiting the airport? I read some posts that say it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. My fiancee read on her site that it sometimes takes 2 to 3 hours. Anyone?

Thank you in advance!

Also, if anyone has experience with LAX. What are the steps there? She is worried that she will go to the wrong area and do the wrong thing =))))

So if anyone has experience with LAX, you notes would be greatly appreciated

The US passport line has taken me up to 2 hours at LAX before and other times I have just breezed right through. I've heard just recently (like last week here on VJ) that the foreigner line at LAX can take up to 3 hours.

Congratulation and good luck!

I am assuming she is flying on the K-1 visa, which requires her to go thru immigration process. She read it correctly it does take about 2-3 hours.

She doesn't have to worry about getting to the wrong line. She have to go to the line for non-US citizens and they will direct her to immigrations.

Congratulations on your almost completing your journey. You waited longer so 2-3 hours wont make a difference.

First time entry was 3 hours for my wife, so don't be there asap. I even talked with my fellow LE guards at the exit, they said go have a drink. PS the Cjhinese lady at the flower stand is nice and get her some beautiful flowers. Have Fun the longest 3 hours in my life. No difficulties once she got to the officer, just slow.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I flew with my fiancee exact same flight. It took us together 2.5 (!) hours: long line (1.5 hours), interview (20 mins), long line for customs (another 30 mins. Total - 2.5 hrs!

I do intense international traveling and here is the best advice I can give folks going through any POE. When you are on the airplane and about 2 hours out from landing, USE THE RESTROOM. Because if you do not, and you need to go, the turbulence during landing will jiggle your insides around, and then when you land you will be looking for a restroom. And they have lines. That puts you 5-20 minutes behind everyone else on the plane. Or in other words, at the end of the line.

American flights unload front to back. So try to get a seat forward on the last leg of your journey. Aeroflot will unload back to front! When you land, gather your belongings tightly and make a beeline for where you need to go. Skip the restrooms, the souvenir stops, the smoking lounges and the scenery. Go go go!

Now, when you get in line look at your watch. The look at it 60 seconds later. Now look at all the people in line behind you. You just saved half an hour.
