I-864 RFE Process

I am just trying to find the average time NVC had taken to review the I-864 RFE response from the date they received. I heard others say that it is generally less than the regular I-864 process tiem. NVC received my new I-864 form (just the form singed in blue) as response to RFE on 8/26 and am trying to figure out when it could be done.

Those that have similar experienceplease provide your feedback.

They misplaced my friend's photographs and it took them 3 weeks to respond to him. They took 4 business days to accept my I-864. I'm waiting my DS-230 to be accepted.

hi navyk , i called nvc cuz i send i864 and now they said some information is missing ,they send me checklist on 08/26 ,but i did not get it jet when i get i'll post here ,and nvc told me when they get but they need its take's 20 days to review . let see

hi, first of all, Happy Eid/Eid Moubarak! ...so, my husband already sent the package 2 weeks ago though he's still messed up with the paperworks lol i've already told him for not sending the packages yet, after that we received a checklist

I noticed that he messed up also with his dad's form, his dad is his joint sponsor, he didn't include co-sponsor birth certificate in the package nor I-864A signed by her mother because they filed the tax jointly. On the checklist that we received, it's only about my husband's I-864 form (he made mistake in putting the household size and put wrong number on his annual income which is not corresponded to his tax papers), none for my FIL's I-864 or they didn't request for my MIL I-864A.

After gathering all the informations about these matter from VJ, we've finally got our AOS packages done.

So, do you guys think this would cause any problems/questions by the NVC folks since the documents that we resubmit are not corresponded to the checklist that they sent?

When I sent in my corrected version of I-864 for my co-sponsor it took them 7 business days to enter it into the system and on the 8th day my case was completed.

In your case NavyK I'm guessing on Sept 8th you should get SIF but then again Labor day might cause some sort of delay in the process.

We had a sort of RFE that took three weeks to resolve--it took that long to get the right person on the phone. The original reviewer misunderstood a piece of financial data and requested that a new 864 be submitted, but the data was correct, so if we were to submit a new 864, it would be identical to the original--that took a lot of explaining before we made any progress at all. It took many phone calls to get to a supervisor who would personally look at our docs, and when we finally got one on the phone who agreed to personally look at our papers, he called back the same evening and agreed that they had made an error and the case was closed that very evening.

I am leaving for Costa Rica today and we are very excited about the interview next week. Assuming everything goes well, she has a few things to close down, and she will be here in October/November. She has a car to sell, furniture to sell or give to the church, clothes for the church, etc, etc. She was very lucky to sell her dental practice last month which was a big concern, but now it's just a lot of little things to wrap up.

We eloped in NYC when she was her last Thanksgiving, and we plan to retrace those steps this year !!
