my wife had her interview on the 18th and everything seemingly went well. (cr-1)

however, just when we both thought everything was over, the embassy in madrid has failed to mail her passport back. we have tried contacting the embassy by phone and email, however, the do not seem to respond to emails, nor does anyone ever transfer you to someone within the embassy that is willing or can tell us ANYTHING about what is going on.

i took steps with my local Senator, whose office has filled an enquery the past friday.

i guess what i am wondering is what could possibly be going in.

thank you.

***** Moving from K1 to Europe Regional forum as this seems a US embassy in Spain related issue *****

It's been less than two weeks, are you sure there is a problem?

I don't know about Spain, but in Ireland they print the visas in batches every few days and send them out, so it can easily take two weeks to get it.

Hey,

I called the Embassy the other day and they told me the average waiting time to get the visa in hand in Spain is 12 days (minimum)... However, they said it could take longer 'cause this time of the year gets a little bit busier. You should receive your visa very soon. Hang in and keep us updated :)
