No slim, that's not what makes your perspective more ignorant. But good to know the context of your perspective.

I'm still curious how I can have an ignorant opinion based on first-hand experience. Care to break that one down for me?

While you're at it, maybe you could also clarify how you're more qualified.

Slim, read your initial post that I quoted in my first post in this thread. The actions of one are not representative of a greater pattern. You are just projecting your ignorant misogyny. This woman's actions are no more indicative of a womans ability to serve in the military than Charles Manson's actions are indicative of your ability to reintegrate into society.

To be honest, a lot of the girls I've met who are in the military are very "loosey goosey" and/or have self-harm/alcohol/drug problems. This isn't to say it's fair to generalize because I know a few wholesome ones with happy families... but the overall impression leaves a sour taste in the mouth. No double entendre this time, Slim.

So men get pregnant in Australia? I know for a fact they don't get pregnant in our military.

You are just projecting your ignorant misogyny.

Not at all. I served for the better part of seven years in the military and not a single guy got pregnant.

This woman's actions are no more indicative of a womans ability to serve in the military than Charles Manson's actions are indicative of your ability to reintegrate into society.

Are women combat-effective in the later stages of pregnancy? Are their offspring capable of remaining at a rally point while the woman is off fighting?

In all seriousness, I'm not generalizing one bit.

There is absolutely nothing in the military that we need women to do. (Well, nothing except being loosey goosey, anyway.) For those of you who think this is unbridled misogyny, why aren't you banging the drum to get women signed up for selective service?

They either forgot to check her pouch or misread the test results.

Slim, you have first hand experience and your statement WAS ignorant! Were you an NCO in your flight/squadron? You didn't get an honourable discharge? If you didn't...then all the 1st hand experience you have is worth exactly ####### as you ultimatly proved you couldn't serve your contract to fulfilment honourably; whereas me, ( a woman) did.

Who's was the ' shouldn't have been in the Military' , now?

5 cents is nickel

10 cents is a dime

25 cents is a quarter

I have learned the US money but I am not sure what 'worth #######' means

Perhaps it varies according to how long the lady has been in a tent in the desert ?

Certainly in my basic training, the toothless hunchback housemaids looked better and better as the 13 weeks passed until eventually the guys were fighting over them. I had a 19 year old wife 7 miles away so it didn't affect me.

I was not a NCO on my flight or squadron.

I was discharged under honorable conditions. Care to ask any more questions?

Have you ever been sexually molested by a soldier of the opposite gender ?

If so, was it in uniform ?

I have and she was

It was great !

No.

Yet another reason to not have women in the military.

Chicks don't make good ground pounders for the post part. They wear out to quick. I can see them playing a part in the military, just not in combat situations.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
