Sometimes they need some document verifying something... it may be something as simple as what happened to us. They wanted me to verify my household so I had to submit a letter from the attorney saying I don't pay any child support and that my three girls live with me and nobody else. I had to submit some docs from the parenting agreement as well as my apartment lease to prove my household size. It took about 5-6 weeks to review and now we are in name checks... still ap but slowly progressing.

I'm sure its a similar item...could be about your marriage or job etc... if he doesnt receive the letter soon i would suggest letting the embassy know that you have not received any letter.

Good luck..and hang in there..your at the end!

Thank you for the reply! I just find it odd that they would tell you your approved, and that you should recieve your visa package in 5 working days. Then a month later after emailing the embassy with no reply about whats going on (thank God for my VJ peeps that told me to call DOS) i find out about this letter being sent out last week for additional info..I would think that they would have realized this at the interview.

It sounds like your on AP.. for waiting for review of documents... just find out what they are and careful to submit everything they need and hopefully they can review them within a few weeks and issue visa.
