Hello members of Visa Journey,

I am writing in this forum today to get answers on the Medical Exam My wife will have to take in the process of AOS.

I am from USA and she from Canada and we got married on spare of the moment decision during her last visit and are filing for AOS for her to stay here forever.

She and I want to know more about this medical exam, I have researched different things and it kind of helped but I would like real words from a real person about this. My question on what we want to know is,

What does the whole medical exam involve?

Will my newly wedded wife need to have vaccination records with her at the time of the exam?

Is there anything else she would need during the exam with her?

If you all could answer this as detailed as possible and maybe give a list of the things we need to have with us during time of exam, and the whole procedure and what it is and involves, that would be greatly appreciated. and thank you for taking time out of your day to read and answer this.

Yes she needs vaccination records.

You need to slow down and read before you post, you posted in the wrong section again, she is adjusting from being a visitor not a family based visa.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

She needs her I D & shot records. For the rest of your info in detailed form as you seem to need I suggest you call the hospital she will go to & ask the nurses. These exams arent that difficult to endure or understand.

If she doesn't have her shot records then they can do a blood test to check for antibodies. You need to find a USCIS-designated Civil Surgeon at uscis.gov and then just make the appointment. Go and see what the doctor says. They are mainly checking for communicable diseases like Tuberculosis. After the appointments (at least two a few days apart) the Civil Surgeon will give you a SEALED envelope with the results on form I-693. You will send this sealed envelope (do not open it) with your package.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
