okay, i got a follow up question on this matter

Can we do a collage of photos of us together to prove bona fide relation when we mail in the forms I-130 and I-485?

like one big picture with a bunch of pictures in it and have an explanation caption for each photo of whom is in the photos in this collage and such?

or do they have to be individual pictures?

I couldn't even bring a Sim card inside the embassy. Sorry but you can't. They won't have time to look at videos too.

I guess you can as long as they are clear and readable. :)

You don't need to think through the whole process right now. The last step, the interview, shouldn't be concerning you before you have even sent in the forms. The first step, the forms, is the first thing to do. You could also be scheduling the medical exam right now. That actually has to be done before the forms are sent in. Then USCIS will give you more instructions after the forms are sent in and you can figure it out then. Taking the process apart and working on it step by step will help you to be successful. Hello members of Visa Journey,

I am starting a new topic on photograph styles

okay, when we mail forms I-130 and I-485 for AOS, can we include a collage of many photos in one with captions under each in the collage that explain who is in the photo and such?

or do they want only individual photographs?

You can include a collage shaped like the USA for all they care..

Don't worry about the photos too much. You're getting caught up in details that really are pretty irrelevant at this point. It is good to include photos with your package, but whether they are individual or a collage has absolutely no affect on how your AOS process will go. Include a few (I'd say no more than 10) photos that show your relationship at different times and different places. We put ours in a word document with captions underneath explaining where and when the photo was taken, and just printed that on paper in color. Whatever you wanna send will be fine.

Your question was answered in your other thread.

You can do whatever you want with the photos.

They are not primary evidence of relationship they are secondary evidence.

however you want to do it is fine. People have done the collage, or individual without issue.

Hey Harpa, question if i may,

where does this medical exam take place?

at the local hospital? we just schedule a what? a physical?

or is it something else we have to schedule? and how much does that cost?

Erm. I think you need to take a deep breath, stop what you are doing, and start from the beginning. You really should start by reading ALL the instructions, guides and forms that are relevant to AOS. It seems you have not done that yet.

You will have to schedule a medical with a certified civil surgeon. You can find a list of civil surgeons and locate the one nearest to you by going to the USCIS website, and searching for "civil surgeon". You call them, tell them you need a medical for immigration paperwork, and print out the I-693 medical form and take that with you to the appointment. they will know what needs to be done. After the medical, the doctor will give you the paperwork in a sealed envelope, which you send with the rest of your AOS package.

The cost of the medical varies and will also depend on which vaccinations you'll need. Mine was $150 in NYC. If you need a lot of vaccinations, it might be more.

Seriously. Read the forms, instructions and the guide here on VJ. After that, ask more questions if needed.

Well, I don't take offense in these forums. So no harm done.

Your wife does not have to, and also CANNOT leave the US during her AOS process, until she has received the AP (advance parole) travel document (which comes in about 3 months once you have filed your papers) - so no, she does not have to go to Canada for the medical.

When you go on the uscis website and search for civil surgeons, you can fill in your zip code and find civil surgeons in your area. Then you just start calling them and try to find the most affordable one.

that zip code thing on the site really was convenient. i liked it, made finding a civil surgeon all easy.

but okay, how about wait times for the actual medical? how long does it usually take before we can get an appointment set? and also, if vaccines are needed for her, do they do that same day as well?

You'll have to ask from the doctor's office.. I got an appointment for the following week, others have waited for several weeks. Depends on where you live as well. Same for the vaccines, you will have to ask the office..most likely they'll do them during the same visit. She will have to go to the doctor's office two times anyway, they need her to return in a couple of days from the first visit so that they can check her TB test results.
