You clearly don't want helpful input on the topic, so again, what is it exactly that you're after?

prayer7hp.jpg

yeah, maybe you think prayer doesn't help but a lot of people do think that it helps...

meauxna, she stated that she wanted prayers....

I wish someone would have given me the rule book so many of you have of what we can and cannot post...

Jabree has offered much support to this community and she does not need to turn her personal case into a 'lessons learnt' workshop.

I respectfully disagree.

Everything in life is a lesson learnt. If that were not so, then what are the parables for?

Agreed, perhaps more information would help her case or others.

With that said, Jabree chose not to reveal the detail of the denial, I support that. Why? Because most threads in OT turn into garbage. In the same direction this thread is going. Take note of the Prayer pic.

Medical hardship. From one side, but not the other.

All I was trying to do when I started "talking" to Becca about this through our messages here, was let other people know that that particular requirement is rarely waived. I was hoping someone would benefit from what we were saying.

I know jabree wants our prayers and she's certainly one of the people I pray for every night, but I don't see any reason why we shouldn't try to help other people by using this as an example of why denials happen.

I thought that was what message boards were for anyway.

I wish someone would have given me the rule book so many of you have of what we can and cannot post...

Please don't confuse me with anyone else. :) I don't have a post/don't post rule book for here--I had a question and I asked it.

I'm familiar with jabree's backstory, and that prompted my question. Why continue to bring up something that you will not talk about? She''s bringing it up, not me, not "us". She can certainly ask for and recieve support without speaking in tongues.

As for what happens to threads at VJ or in OT, well, there you go, another reason to not bring it up at all. But I do get tired of people who want to use up resources for no good reason, and that includes contacting elected reps instead of a lawyer and posting to VJ when you're not going to talk about what you're posting about.

Desertfox just posted a great reply, here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...try459376\ that's at the crux of it---given the information provided, there's little chance of this working--why not work toward a solution?

I also don't understand all the support for someone to break *this* rule, but not so many other immigration rules. IMO, this person wasted her time, although she did explain not knowing at the time she filed and then basically crossing her fingers at the RFE, but we'll never know, because she'll talk around it, but not about it. Someone here could've saved her some time, and her participation could save someone else time/frustration in the future.

I maintain that for getting what she wanted, jabree would do better to confine her discussions to a private mesage/email format.

Sorry to talk about you in the third person, jabree.

With that said, Jabree chose not to reveal the detail of the denial, I support that.

meant to add---she's posted the reason for the denial, just not her reasons for a waiver. Fine with me, my point was: don't mention it at all then as it serves no purpose and is having unintended consequences.

I never intended for my thread to become a secret police organization or a place to speculate and debate. I posted for those loving , kind souls on here who I hold dear to me who have shown me the utmost concern and respect .

It's all so brutally simple, I will keep praying for everyone .

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

jabree, I take umbrage with that.

Those are fairly harsh terms, my dear.

And respect is a two way street.

You can continue to be evasive and judgmental of your peers, or you can come off your pedestal and realize that debate could actually help you.

dont pray for me please.....all of you should be praying that that lawyer aint gonna take all of her money trying to overturn a denial on no meeting...as she will not prevail based upon what she has posted.

Just think if you could get something like that waivered....USCIS would be flooded with 100,000 petitions tomorrow....aint gonna happen....save your money!!!!

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

you really should consider going to meet your fiancee. love should take you there to him.

get with the other ladies that are traveling to Egypt to see their SOs and you travel with them

if you are afraid to travel by yourself.

I actually liked this suggestion a lot.

Exactly.

Prayer helps, but USCIS ain't on the same wavelength as the almighty.

They aren't going to part the Red Sea. Period.

Maybe it's hard for people to understand that even if you have to wait 3 years to be able to meet and it will cost you 10 thousand dollars, it's still seen as possible by the USCIS. And then you'll have to do just that...

So jabree, I think the best you can do is find a way you can meet each other and go from there. Maybe you'll regret the time spent on trying to have this waived.

I talk from experience. As you can tell by my signature, I tried to get a tourist visa a few times so I could get there faster, to be with my fiance while our petition was being processed . Of course I was denied every time because I just couldn't show enough ties I had to my country, that would make not overstay. I look back and realize how naive and stupid I was for wasting all that time trying to find a way to bend the law. If I had just done the right thing I'd be there by now!!

I can't go back and fix what I did.... but I can help people and not let them make the same mistake.
