Hang in there.. chin up... rember our talk...

(((((((((((((hug ))))))))))))))))))))

;);)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Your faith in God and the strength and positive attitude He gives you is so admirable.

Jabree I have only just found this thread, so I apologize for sending you a 'what happened?' message earlier when I have just read your request for privacy.

This is just a minor obstacle to endure. You will be together soon.

I am truly sorry to hear about your news! Remain faithful and you will be approved in Jesus name! With God anything is possible. Stay Strong.

I want to personally thank everyone here who has prayed for me . Today we received our decision to the I-129-f petition we filed in March. We were given a denial . Please do not ask me questions concerning our case, as I want to keep things private as not to be scorned or ridiculed . Just know that I will retain council tomorrow to help us appeal our case. That is all. God Bless every member on here. I am praying for each and everyone of you. All Glory and Praise to our precious Heavenly Father ! (F)

Oh jabree...I'm so sorry. I am indeed praying for you. You can count on that. Let us know if there's anything else we can do. We're here for you.

January 2004: Met Laurent at the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris

February 2004: We became an actual couple

January 29th, 2006: I left France to return to the United States--AWFUL to say goodbye!

June 2006: Finally convinced Laurent that a K-1 visa would be more time-effective than trying to get an H-1

August 1st, 2006: The K-1 petition is finally in the mail and on its way to Nebraska...WooHoooo!! And yes, I remembered to attach the check! :-)

August 3rd, 2006: USPS online tracking shows that my petition (sent certified) was received at the NSC at 5:05am

August 14th, 2006: NOA1 received USPS!! (I-129F recv'd at CSC: 8/4; NOA date: 8/10; last touched: 8/11)

October 2nd, 2006: I MISTAKENLY thought we had an approval...False alarm...Back to waiting...

October 3rd, 2006: TOUCHED!!

October 4th, 2006: REALLY AND TRULY APPROVED!!! Email notification lists 10/3 as the NOA2 date.

Later that same day: TOUCHED...AGAIN! Hope that means I'm in a cozy box and moving to NVC this week...

October 10th, 2006: Received official NOA2 via snail mail.

October 19th, 2006: Case received at NVC!! AWESOME!!

October 20th, 2006: Case forwarded to Paris!! DHL says two shipments were headed that way. Must be in there somewhere...

October 27th, 2006: Received official receipt letter from NVC via USPS.

They haven't met within the two years required

Jabree, I'm sorry to read this news. You seem to have a very good attitude about this though. I'm glad to see that.

I realize that you are entitled to your privacy. However, I would like to offer this up to you. A post such as this one, with a denial at the service center level, is somewhat unusual. It might be alarming to some readers.

Is there any way you could share with us what happened, at least from a very general standpoint? I for one am not interested in the gory details. And I wouldn't want you to do something which would cause you embarrassment or further misery.

I just think for the 'good' of this community your story - thus far - might be very useful.

I wish you peace with whatever you decide.

Jabree, I have just sent up a prayer for you. Having been through many struggles with immigration myself (and continuing to go through them) let me share with you a piece of Scripture that always encourages me:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

-James 1:2-4

I hope you are able to find out what the next steps are and that you will go forward with confidence, knowing the situation is, and always has been, in God's hands.

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

To everyone who offered their kind words and support, I sincerely thank you all ! I do not know anything about this appeal process, so hopefully tomorrow I will be able to think more levelheadedly and at least walk our of the lawyers office with some idea of what is to come. I will not accept this decision, we have come too far to quit.

My fiance and I are just devestated, but we accept God has reasons for everything. It is just going to take a bit longer. We will get there, we still have faith and USCIS cannot take THAT away from us.

as always, God bless !

you need to find out the reasons for the denial. from the CO.

not that paper. then you need to RESPOND and REBUTT with facts and proofs.

then get this thing turned around. since your case is at the embassy.

now is the time to get it turned around before it leaves the embassy. it willl

take about 4-6 months to get to the USA. so get busy calling to talk to the CO.

visit the Middle east threads there are ladies there that can point you in the right direction...

Shon, the petition never made it to the embassy. They are dealing with a denial of the I-129F by the service center.

Sorry to hear Jabree. I hope you can get a reversal! (F)

Jabree i want you and Hitham to know that i will be praying for the both of you that everything works out. I am very sorry to hear about this but don't give up keep on fighting. I know that everything in the end will work out for you both.

Well, I'm glad we got that cleared up.

My concern was that other members might read of this Service Center level denial and start to fret even more about their pending petitions. I did read a thread this morning where a member referred to this thread - she received her approval today and said that she burst into tears when she saw the notice in her e mail - that she had been even more worried since reading of jabree's denial.

I was worried about that as well. And reading that thread I remembered it... I was at work when I read it for the first time so I couldn't post a reply, but I still remember what I was gonna post though. And even though I know it won't make a big difference since she got denied, it can help someone else.

When you don't meet within the 2 years required, you have to let them know and show hardship from both sides! I know she has a medical condition that doesn't allow her to travel but maybe, and that's a big maybe as I'm not an immigration lawyer, they also wanted reasons on why he couldn't visit her where she lives (or even a closer country that she could go to, like Canada...). I take this from reading this board a lot and from 2 friends' experiences.

I guess it's just something to think about....

I hope it all works out for you and I'll be praying! (F)

Jabree,

I apologize for not seeing this thread sooner then this. You know the reason. Even though we have spoken about this already, I want to add my support to your lovely chain of support here. I know this hurts darlin, but God isn't going to dish out anything that you can't handle or anything that isn't going to bring you good things down the road.

You've got the right attitude. You've got support. I know that you will get through this and then some. So many are here for you, and me too.

This can be a brutal process, some of the bumps are bigger then others, but they can be overcome. One day the two of you can look back on this as a dim memory in the story of your life.

Love you, sis. I'm here anytime. (F)
