It has been a big disappointment for a lot of people, obviously. Actually the experts WERE saying this was not going to be a big event. It was the commercial wether stations and news channels (emphasis on "commercial") that turned it into "Hurricane Hype"

Obama was hoping for devastation to create jobs fixing the damage at the expense of insurance companies. Dammit. No to mention another lost opportunity to somehow be a hero to someone for something. At least an effin' photo op! A need to fly around in his helicopter? Something! Jeeezum! Oh well, there is always NEXT hurricane season , good news is that it ends just before the election so there is always hope. Maybe AlGore can help?

Global warming wierdos (GWWs)are seeing another dissapointing year after Lord Gore pronounced that hurricanes were "getting worse" and the hurricans just have not cooperated. Haven't they seen the movie? #######! GWWs just hate it when the sky isn't falling. They just hate that they can't come here today and post for the need to tax people to prevent more hurricanes.

The news channels were hoping for better ratings but everyone turned it off when it turned out to be more like "Thunderstorm Irene"

Basically more of the "good news is bad news" kind of thing.

How utterly ignorant. The peak of this hurricane season has just now started. You might not know this living in the middle of nowhere but hurricane season peak is the time from mid August to late October.
