Hi folks,

People I know who filed for their parents in Ghana were all asked to undergo paternity testing "due to insufficient evidence of relationship". I'm about to file for my parents. Considering the long waiting period for interview in Accra, can we get the 3 way DNA tests done after their interview date is scheduled and send them to the consulate before they (my parents) go there? I know it'll cost a lot (about 400 bucks per person or $1200 for all 3 of us), but I'm definitely sure they'll demand it. I just don't want them to be rescheduled due to the insane waiting time.

Well i filed for my son too....who just went to his interview date. I also wanted to start with the DNA testing procedure but, u can't just start that procedure without the embassy officially requesting the test. U just have to go through the normal process, its time consuming but u just have to be prepared.

By the way, if u don't mind me asking, what was the outcome of ur son's interview?
