No, you will not need to buy another ticket...they will just book you for the next flight. Just know that the airlines are charging for everything these days, (if they could charge you a fee for the oxygen you breathe onboard the plane and get away with it, they just might try it) so be sure and let them know that you got held up at immigration if that happens. There might or might not be a nominal fee to book again, they will let you know. The last 2 times I missed flights due to being stuck in traffic, they just charged a $50.00 fee to book me on the next flight.

But no worries, you will not need to buy another ticket. You will have a problem-free first international flight.

Thank you so much...i wish i had enough time for this immigration thing. so after them checkd my papers that's it and i am ready to go? i hope no more interview?

The officer will ask you a couple of questions like "Why are you here? Is your fiance outside waiting for you? Where will you stay? etc" and he/she will attach the lower part of the I-94 in your passport. Make sure that the info on the I-94 are correct! Coz mine has a typo in it (1 number in my Alien number was wrong) After that you can go and your next interview will be for the AOS...IF they ask for an interview.
