I was about to send my package in today when I noticed that the G-325A forms were updated. The ones I had were the Rev. (05/31/05)N edition. I had filled out these and sent my SO one of these too. But now I noticed there is a 7/24/06 updated version on the website. Can I still send out the ones I have now or will I have to ultimately use the new ones? The website says "Prior versions acceptable only until 10/01/06." I am sending my packet to the NSC. Do you think it should be able to reach there by time? Should I go ahead and take the risk? Thanks.

That leaves you 12 days. How hard would it be to use the new ones?

Well, I have to wait another week or two because I have to send the SO the forms and have her sign it also. I was hoping I could send everything in today and not delay any further.

If the package is in their hands before the form expires, one would surmise that this is acceptable.

With USCIS? Who the heck knows. I don't want to suggest you do them again, yet I don't want you to get an RFE, although unlikely.

If it were me, I would let them fly as is.

The silly thing of it all, is that there are probably zero changes to the form, other than validity date.

Anyone else?

I just printed both versions and can only detect one slight difference, aside from the date of validity.

At the bottom, where it reads: Applicant Be sure to put your alien registration number....and so forth

The difference? larger font for the sentence. Thats it.

Fundamentally, the form is identical.

Oh, and they also have a page 5 - Instructions.

Hmm, yep. I am hoping if I send it in today, they will be able to receive it no problem and know that it is indeed an older version, but acceptable within the time limits. I'm praying!

They should accept the older form even after the date listed. Look at the newest I-864 form on it the form states expires 9/30/06, I doubt they will stop accepting the newest form after that date, and if you look at the website the indicate that the older ones on 10/19/06. So logic would make you think that after 10/19/06 they will stop using ALL I-864 forms because they say they wont accept the old ones after that date , and the new ones also indicate that they expire before that date also.

So after all that, they should have no problem with the G-325A forms that you are already using, sometimes the dates just don't matter.

Am I making sense?

You can find it here:

Even thought the site says it is the old one, when you open the form it expires 05/31/09.

Ah, yes. Well, I figured they would still probably accept it after the date. Anyways, I just sent my whole package out. Wish me good luck, hehe. :)
