Hi Medryl,

It might be that you get into trouble because you are basically illegal here since March 2007 and even though you are married now to a US Citizen you have a very long overstay and I really would recommend you to consult an immigration lawyer, before you send any kind of papers....you have no trouble with an overstay less than 180 days after your Visa expired, anything above means a big problem, no matter if you are married now or not.

Good Luck!

Mentalia,

sometimes it's okay not to give advice if you have no idea of what you are talking about.

Here's my thoughts to you: read, absorb and learn. Once you have grasped how AOS works and what matters at AOS--even if you may not be able to fully understand the little pitfalls that sometimes lurk in the back--feel free to chime in and give advice. But telling something that is exactly the opposite of correct is not cool and only confuses the person asking a question with the expectation of getting competent advice.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

I admit that i still get scared but at the end of the day whether they approve or deny me, I'll still be with my hubby. That is all i want anyway. Don't care where it is as long as i am with him i am O.K. lol

My only real fear is to go to jail before deportation thats when i start acting up :)

But my hubby wants to visit switzerland also and being swiss i can live anywhere in Europe. Now if i get my green card it would be easier for us but if not oh well..i tried..

Hi misswiss! ...How did it go??? Pls, share with us your interview experience...it would be much appreciated! Thank you and have a good day! :)
