If they ask you at the medical "have you ever used drugs?" and you say yes, I'm sure they will ask "what drugs have you taken and when?" and not just write down a yes. When your OH answers " Paracetamol for a headache" she is in the clear

This woman says that statement is very offensive.

I think it's funny what women say sometimes. It wasn't meant to be demeaning.

You are taking it out of context.

You never watch TV sitcoms that are funny mainly because they have funny women saying funny things?

Am I going to be mobbed by some women's lib organization?

No disrespect intended. No apology necessary either. You misunderstood me.

Yes, he also somehow thinks that the "drugs" and "medicine" conundrum that occurs in English exists in all languages.

Harpa Timsah,

Yea sorry, I wasn't born in 80 countries simultaneously, so I assumed you people all do the same things.

Buy me an Encyclopedia and maybe I'll read up on it.

Thanks for the replies and info.

I am not focused on the drug issue.

My main question was...

"...what else can result in a lifetime ban that we need to be aware of?"

I'm not very concerned about the possibility of my fiancee misunderstanding and mis-communicating a drug question.

I am asking about all the other possible beaurocratic traps that might exist that one would want to know about.

Taking too long to respond to the Consular Officer gonna result in a lifetime ban from the U.S.?

Being five minutes late for the interview gonna result in a lifetime ban?

Parking in a beaurocrats stall gonna result in a lifetime ban?

I'm mainly concerned about all the other possible beaurocratic traps that might exist.

Anyone have a list in plain non-lawyer speak English?

"but you never know what a woman will say." ---Why marry the woman then? Why go through so much K1 visa trouble if a woman is so dumb? I feel so bad for those men who feel that they are better than women. 2. "Using drugs" in all legal papers means using illegal drugs. Otherwise it's medicine. See, even women know that!

Your reply is so pathetic I'm not going to waste my time responding to all your misconceptions squeezed into one paragraph regarding what I said.

You must be the leader of a women's lib organization.

Go picket on a street somewhere.

Wasn't kinda recently that Paris Hilton was not allowed to enter Japan due to her cocaine possession charge in Las Vegas...not much for the topic posted, or anything pertaining to a lifetime ban...just a thought... http://www.nodeju.com/3436/paris-hilton-allowed-enter-japan.html

Thanks for the advice Channah&Aaron,

But I don't do drugs and I am 99.9% sure that my fiancee doesn't do drugs either.

This is getting to be like a Tabloid here :-)

No drug story to get all excited about here. Sorry.

I was asking about all the other beaurocratic traps that might exist to add excitment and a sense of purpose and a tingling sensation to the beaurocrats who like to destroy lives.

Anyone have a list, in plain English?

P.S. I should've put in my post that it wasn't meant for you, saying you or fiancee do drugs. That is what I figured out at the beginning of this post  .

Mine was offtopic but some VJ members were duscussing that, and I wanted to give my two cents

There might be, well there are other beaurocratic traps, but maybe we shouldn't pay that much attention to it since it's mobbing the floor with the water running :bonk: .

Somebody opened a can of worms... lol. I agree with the OP that this was not really about drugs but more about being aware that there are items that can get you banned.

I believe the OP was correct. If you don't, I would take it up with this guy, a lawyer who started the whole topic of saying that is true. Send hate mail to :
