I-751 form submitted

My husband and I are in the process of completing the I-751 - Petition to Remove Conditional Status of Green Card. We have completed biometrics, submitted paperwork (it's being processed), and we received a letter stating that his green card would automatically be renewed for a year, while the paperwork is being processed. He did not, however, receive a new green card, so the one that he currently has says that it's expired. We have a trip planned overseas, and I am wondering if he will be okay to travel on that green card, or if there are any other steps that we need to take to make sure that there are no problems.

if you are travelling you have to take the letter with the extention with you and the GC, that's what's it for, work and travel.

he won't receive a card, until her receives his 10 year GC. the letter is to be able to work and travel during the process, due to that it will take months.

you received a one year extension letter good for one year,you can use that letter to traval make a copy also.when your remove of conditions is approved in 4 0r 5 months you will receive a 10 year permanent card.
