Hi folks,

I just found this article and I though maybe it would be useful for some.

"The Department of Homeland Security said the government would review about 300,000 deportation cases pending in federal immigration courts. Lower-priority cases -- those not involving individuals considered violent or otherwise dangerous -- would be suspended under the new criteria. "

http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/08/26/deportation.policy/index.html?eref=mrss_igoogle_cnn

I could not find the original memo, maybe somebody knows where to find it?

Cheers,

M.

Nope, not too useful here, everybody here is entering thru the front door. That is the Obama payoff to a special interest group that slipped in thru the back door.

I politely disagree (see above).

And what do you mean by

special interest group that slipped in thru the back door.

?

You mean all those people making sure that apples and oranges arrive safe in our homes, working 20 hours a day with no rights whatsoever? What interest are you talking about here? American farmers or ourselves eating fruit?

I really think you guys should take a more objective perspective on this issues, along with a chill pill.

What is this supposed to mean? Deportation affects many people from different backgrounds, including young adults who were brought to the U.S. by their parents before even being able to talk.

This most recent deportation policy from the White House and from the end of Obama's pen (can you say end-run around congress)was meant to benefit one group of people...

Yes, and to include

including young adults who were brought to the U.S. by their parents before even being able to talk.

I am not sure how your fruit arrives safe (ly) to your home, but I am the one that gets my fruit from the market to my house. I personally am not to concerned about the safe arrive of fruit to my house, I do not anticipate the fruit being involved in an accident or a mishap. The role "all those people making sure that apples and oranges arrive safe in our homes" play is to get the fruit out of the field so it can be transported to the packing house.

Exactly what rights are those? Wage and labor laws, OSHA regulations, etc...apply to all, even those in the fields picking fruit.

I guess you have not heard of La Raza, MEChA, MALDEF, etc,.?

Yeap, those special interest groups. That new Deportation Policy was meant to keep those special interest groups from making so much noise until after 2012, if he can get lucky and stay around.

I really think you guys should take a more objective perspective on this issues, along with a chill pill.

You not liking the facts, does not make me less objective. Being objective starts with an honest view of the issue(s)...where is your objectivity?

This is simply not true. How can you enforce labor laws on people without a contract? If you want to talk about the reasons behind illegal working force, that's another issue.

Well, thanks to you now I know what you are talking about and where this is coming from. I think your anger is out of control, and I have to say unfortunately it does not surprise me.

I am going to stop answering after this, because the reason for my post was not to argue about politics, but to post an 'immigration' issue on an 'immigration' forum.

That's right everyone else is angry . LOL

Your first response was playing the poor abused immigrant card. Everyone else is just haters right LOL

Now take your ball and go home.

But before you go remember. Do it legally and nobody else will care. But don't try to play the pity card if you broke the law.

You LOL and sarcasm are inappropriate, as well as the rest of your post.

I did not attack anybody in first place.

I am not angry and I don't hang out in forums to pick on some people to get rid of my frustration. Furthermore, I did not answer to you, since your posts are hard to understand to me.

My point here is just that these issues are not black and white. There are grey areas and it's good for you that you have such a clear vision in your mind.
