It would do that.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hi, there :)

Your story is really similar to ours. I've known my husband for more than 20 years, we were childhood friends, and we also dated later (he was my first love, I was his first love) and I found out that I was the love of his life only after we found each other again :) We lost contact when he went to US, he got LPR status through his first marriage (2001-2010) and had three children with his first wife. They separated in 2008, got divorced in 2010, he has primary custody of the children. We reconnected and got married in 2011. He is eligible for citizenship early 2012. We are thinking also to send the I-130 as soon as we can and later when he becomes citizen to upgrade the petition. It's been really hard, we miss each other terribly but we will get through this. Good luck in your journey, you are not alone in this so be patient and everything will be alright :) Keep us posted.

It is just so uplifting to see others with similar situations! :)

Here is our update:

I have received an e-mail on 4/19/2012 that our case has been moved from CSV to my local office ( Cincinnati, OH) and if they will need anything from me, they will let me know ( 7 months since we filed I-130). As I have learned in this process, Cincinnati is the capital for fake marriages in between former USSR citizens and every case is looked into very carefully. As I have gained my LPR through previous marriage, there is a talk of me being called in for an interview. Which is totally fine, they can look into our case all they want. I have gained some kind of peaceful reassurance that everything is going to be awesome. :) And this is just another step forward. In July I will travel to Russia again to spend some time with my honey and right when I return I will apply for citizenship, since I will be eligible for it. The life goes on and I honestly have nothing to be scared of, I just hate the wait, but since there is no way around it, I patiently wait. :)

Could someone clear this up for me?! When you receive NOA2 and your I 130 is approved it means that the relationship between you and your Spouse is established. Correct?! Then you just wait for your pd to become current so the process can start and only during the interview your visa will be approved or denied.

No. It only means USCIS has adjudicated your petition.

The relationship evidence you submit winds it way through to NVC, and then on to the IV unit , where it IS evaluated.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

Update: I had an interview in my local USCIS office yesterday during which my eligibility to petition for my husband was establish and our I-130 got approved! YAY! GOD IS GREAT! The officer ( very sweet young lady) very kindly explained to me the reasons why I have been called in - it has been less then 5 years since I have gotten my Green card through previous marriage that has ended less then 5 years ago as well. I had a bag full of evidence for both of my marriages so it went smoothly! :) She also gave me points on how to apply for my Citizenship in two months and also what to do about my changed married name! Overall it took 15 minutes, and 4 sleepless nights for me prior! HAHAHA
