Scheduling a medical exam and police cert

Hello friends

Can I schedule the medical exam now, even though I've not sent out the NVC DS-230 paperwork yet? I'm sending it out in the next couple of days. If so, how do I do this?

I also read you need to take your police cert with you, but mine is in the DS-230 package. Will this be sent back to me or do I need to get another one?

You can schedule your medical as soon as you have your London case number; if you've already received package three then London has your case logged so no reason to wait.

They want a photocopy of the police certificate and the original to check it's legit, so just make a copy and bring both and you can walk away again with your original.

It's totally fine to schedule your Medical before your case is finished at NVC. I did a few days ago for September 6th. You will need your police certificate though, or at least a copy. I ordered two just in case at the start. You could ring them to check if a copy is ok so you don't have to pay for another one.
