When Calling The Extortion Hotline

My fiancée is the one in England trying to move here to America. I need to call for her to make the payment for the visa. It says on the site that they need the "applicant's info", but I'm not sure if that's her or me, as up to this point, I've been the "petitioner" and she's been the "beneficiary".

Also, if the info I'm giving is hers and she'll eventually need to prove that she paid for the visa with a receipt, but I'm paying with my card, at what point do I explain that it's my card but her name needs to be on the receipt? I don't want to say the card is hers because it's not, but I don't want to mess it up by not having her name on the receipt.

Finally, is this a fairly easy call? Am I blowing this out of proportion? They just give a very specific amount of time that I'm paying for, so I don't want to ask too many questions and then get charged extra for going over.

Really finally, my cat is meowing like crazy. Would anyone like a grey American longhair? At the very least, he makes an amazing blanket.

I called them today and the applicant is the Beneficiary.

Also, something that was not listed on the embassy's website but is needed for the call is the applicant's phone number! Have that handy!

I called a couple of days ago... they asked for my passport number which I thankfully had to hand or I would have had to waste another pound or so calling back!

I bet the phone call cost me about 15 pound but I am too scared to look at my bill...

had a nice scottish lady who laughed at my email address (quite rightly :-P)

I added my fiance on my credit card and sent her her own card. I told the credit card company that the card will be used in the UK so let the charges go through. She got the visa on her own that way as well as her physical, police cert and other stuff. I have a budget for immigration and it all gets paid from one source, much easier to keep track.
