@ Cutie Bear: Definetely try it! I am not the only VJ'er it has worked for...and if the Congressman doesnt work out, go for the Senator. Dont take no for an answer :)

But you will be surprised at how pleasant they will be to you and how willing to help they are. Dont hesitate and go for it. Let us know how it worked out

After reading your post and checking some sites In the Internet, we decided to try it out with our congressman. During the K1 process, my husband called the USCIS hotline and was told that seeking the help of your congressman will not speed up the process. But since this is not an immigration process (and you are the living proof!) we made a letter, filled-up the privacy release form and mailed it to our congressman this morning.I hope the congressman could help! I will update everyone for the status.

It took 7 working days for me to receive it. The card says I'm authorized to work as of the card production date (the date it was ordered on) so start looking for a job if you want

All the best!

I did the congressional expedite but they mailed us saying they cannot help us since my timeline is within "lead time". But since I receive a very good job offer and I can start on September 19 :) we decided to placed a call to the hotline last Tuesday sept. 6 and they gave us a service number. We were told that we should wait for 5 days for them to provide an update. Since then I would always check my case status.

Now upon checking my EAD card is now in production!!!

I guess for my case congressional expedite didn't work but it's the other way around! Nevertheless, I am so happy!!!!!
