My mother was a christian conservative and she said the same thing very often

When my daughter got pregnant while she was merely engaged to be married, my christian mother said she should be kept in a cellar in the dark and away from decent people.

I have the inside track on how religious conservatives REALLY think and they hate everyone who isn't in their family or group or church

I'm getting some insight into your warped perspective.... and opinion.

PS: I respectfully doubt your experience with Moms expression of faith hardly gives you an "inside track" to anything but a warped Christian outlook.

Christians putting umarried pregnant girls in cellars and lunatic asylums was the norm - even in Engalnd in my mother's lifetime

Christians burning people alive was the norm here in the US at one time but let's not go back into the past too far

The thing is, warped christian outlooks are very common right now. I mix with conservative christians almost every day at my gun club - they would shoot mexican illegals in the river and their kids too. I hear this all the time.

Some of them are ex police

You know and I know that warped christians kill doctors here in the US

You and I have every reason to be on the look out for warped christians and to make sure they do not get themselves into positions of power...because they are followed by their 'flock'

The south is a breeding ground for these and you know it and I know it. So as soon as I see a big hat and belt buckle organising a prayer meeting against monetary easing (QE3), I automatically feel like we have been here before and here comes Jim Jones.

I am guessing that your support of extreme religiosity is because it is associated with your extreme right wing politics - and any support for your politics is welcome, even it's from some really extreme religious ideas.

I suppose I am christo-phobic in that a section of christians are not content to live with their own faith, but see it necessary to move out into society and pass laws to control and to order all the population whether they are christian or not

Who could be afraid of the Amish ? Not me. They keep themselves to themselves. When christians move on non religious women and start making laws to control that woman's body, or say to two men that they have no rights as a couple, or say to me as a non believer that I can hold no State office or give evidence in court, then those christians have become an expeditionary force - there to force sections of society to comply, and they are a foreign occupation to those who are under their heel

They are the opposite of the American ethos, in that they are anti-freedom and anti-choice and seek to impose their will over people in their houses and their bedrooms and their workplace and their courtrooms.

They are as big a threat to the American ideal as the communists ever were.

When they form an alliance and merge with right wing politics, we have a powerful and pernicious force targetting anyone who is not of their thinking and the vulnerable and powerless. Right now the attack is on social security/medicare/gays/pregnant women/social services/family planning/police/firemen etc - anyone who is there to help the weak and uneducated. England saw this horrible alliance of right wing politics and extreme religion in the 1600's so it's not new - and because of England's history in the 1600,s we know the outcome is evil and breeds hatred and civil war.

Your pictures show two young men - one relaxed and smiling and peaceful - they other with the equipment of war and violence getting ready to kill. You think that the latter is admirable and the first is a drone on society. That sums up the mind set of the right and the left. You have chosen the extreme right and anyone who allies with it no matter how extreme - you will die with that same mind-set and will never change.

Society will never be at peace while war and violence and grim faces are glorified over smiling and relaxed and peaceful, and the weak are seen as a source to be stolen from when times get rough

I am fortunate in that I can live anywhere from Hawaii to Crete without papers or permissions. I am well off with secure finances forever. The difference between you and me is that I can't sleep soundly knowing what other people, many in my financial position, are planning to do to those less fortunate in order to gain even more than they have right now - and to do it by using religion as a powerful tool

It's not about the flavor of the religion, it's about respecting the separation of church and state. This is where Palin, Perry, Bachmann and the rest of the right wing nuts clearly fail. They happen to hate the Constitution and that should be a concern for anyone that loves this country.

Can you provide at least 1 example of such hate?
