Palin has been quoted as saying US law should go back to the ten commandments, which as Paul mentioned earlier is unconstitutional.

The ten commandments are stupid. Coveting your neighbour's wife or donkey is a big no-no, but torture is ok? How about rape?

Is rape less important that not making an idol for yourself or not worshiping other imaginary friends?

JUst wondering..... why did all the Obama supporters lecture everyone on the insignificance of whether Obamer was a Muslim or not....... yet when it comes to Palin, Perry or anyone else you don't like you get -Religion fixation?

Think about it - Obama doesnt want to stick his religion in my face but the religious right want to put my life in chains to their beliefs

I don't mind anyone having ANY religion OR NONE coz thats the Constitution.

The religious right really resents Muslims and non believers or anyone who is not in their club and want to tailor the US and women's bodies etc to fit their religious beliefs. George Bush senior said he doesn't regard non believers like me as true citizens of the united states. He took my citizenship and my humanity away with one sentence.

They are on the offensive and dont acknowledge the Constitution. They are insidious and a clique and a cult and as much a danger to personal liberty as the communists

Every American who believes in religious freedom (any or non) should fight the right wing religious nuts because they are the enemy.

IT comes to something when someone like me who has been a US citizen for 8 months, has to lecture native borns on what religious freedom and the first amendment means - it means get off my lawn - oh and mr bush snr - dont devalue me or disqualify me as a citizen just because I assert my religious beliefs which are different to yours.

We know the Ten commandments are posted even within the Supreme Court Building as well as many other Governmental places but It would be more helpful to see and actual quote from her.

These three people have been accused of plotting to turn this country into a theocracy yet I have seen no evidence of it.... to me this is as silly as those who claimed Obamer sympathized with terrorists.

Clearly this "Theocracy" charge is all the Left has for talking points.

When a politician, a president, says he doesn't regard me as a citizen because of my religious beliefs, that is wrong and does not show adherence to the constitution. Of course it didn't remove my passport but it took away my citizenship and devalued me in his eyes. The eyes of the president who is sworn to obey the constitution and defend it. He could not have been clearer.

If you cant see that then you are certainly in the correct party and always will be.

You won't have any fair minded constitution - believers in there with you though.

This heady mix of politics and finance and religion is not what the 1st is about. The fastest growing religious belief in the USA is 'NONE' and people of that belief feel threatened by politicians mixing their own dominant religion with public life. Even the people in 1787 new it was dangereous and framed the constitution accordingly

The president does not have the right to say that he is laying the constitution aside and excluding people of certain religious beliefs from citizenship in his eyes

He has no right to do that. The bill of rights is called that because it sets out rights. When a president says he is discarding the constitution to promote his cult, that has to be regarded as an act rather than just speech.

That act is wrong and he cannot declare parts of the constution null and void - you can and I can - but a president can't because of the oath of office (on a bible)
