problem with civil surgeons

i finally get to post here after the k-1 process, we are getting the AOS put together, working on the vaccinations so i looked up the civil surgeons in my area and there are only 2, so i called the first one and they do both the medical exam and the vaccinations but he will not do the vaccinations with out doing the medical,, i know that on the k-1 they should not have to do the medical seeing how she already did it a month ago, and i explained to them that she only needs the vaccinations,, he wants to charge $400 dollars for the medical exam,,

the second doctor only does medical exams, no vaccinations.

my question is what do i do? is there some one else that can do the vaccinations?

Expand your search and be willing to travel to get just vaccinations transcribed.

I had to check all 6 doctors in my area 5 said they required a full medical (the instructions clearly say otherwise), the last one was confused and I was able to explain the situation to them and show him the instructions.

You have to get it done so start at the closest CS and work your way out. If you find one that is confused point him to the instructions for the I485 and the K1.

You only have to do this if you have an incomplete DS-2035 vaccination sheet or if they lost your medical exam.

I had to call 3 before I found one that does just what they are supposed to do for k-1s. Problem is these "civil surgeons" want to scam un-informed people so they can make more $. It should cost you about $40-60. You may have to find one further away.

We had to drive almost 2 hours to another city to see a civil surgeon that would do just the vaccinations section like they are supposed to. We only had 1 civil surgeon near us, and they wanted a minimum of $150 period. We had to call around to a lot of places, and make the 2 hour drive, but we were only charged $55 total ($25 for the transcription and $30 for the flu shot he needed since it was flu season at the time). We had to explain about the K-1 not needing a full medical on the phone when making the appointment, plus we had to print out the instructions and bring them with us to show them before getting the $25 price. I know it can be frustrating. Good luck!

man you guys are lucky,, the only one i found was one about 45 minutes away and they still charged me a lot, i spent 83$ for the minimum visit, 30 for the immigration charge, 60 for the MMR shot and 40$ for the other shot i cant remember what it was,, it was a total of like 210$,, i was not happy about that, but what is done is done. that step in the AOS is done, now on to finish it up so that i can finally send it off.
