1. When I originally sent in the 129-F, I put Mexico City as the Consulate, not knowing that Juarez is the one that does fiance visas, will they automatically send it to Juarez. We have received the NO2 approval already and waiting for the next step.

2. When you get on the Juarez website, they are now saying that you have to fill the 156 online, print it and then take it to the Embassy. But there isn't a new one for the 156K. Do we you the 156 online or still the 156K handwritten.

Thanks,

Kyle

Hey Kyle,

1) To my guess is that they will automatically send it to Juarez, since it is the only one in Mexico that processes k1 visas.

2) You can get the 156K from visa journey, however I am not sure if it is the current up-to-date form. I'm pretty sure you can fill it in and print it out also.

The updated DS 156 is here: https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

DSK 156K here: http://foia.state.gov/FORMS/visa/ds0156k.pdf

I didn't see anything on the website that indicates it has to be done online - it looks like a copy should be included in the fiance packet - have you received that yet?

Now I see on the website that as of November 1, the DS-156 DOES need to be electronic and it's posted in their site. Since there is no online DS-156K on their site, it would seem it can be handwritten or you can use the link I posted. Good luck

When we submitted our I-129F, we put Guadalajara as our consulate and we experienced no problems with it. The approved petition was sent to Juarez.

We put Guadalajara too since Miriam is from Zapopan, anyways I hope they send it to that place too, looks like that namecheck thing held you up a little bit, glad to hear all all went well and I will be sure to use your advice about the consulate interview.
