I'm just absolutely confused because I am hearing both sides of the coin

Quick, FYI, my wife is from Indonesia.

In the G325A form, there is a box for my wife's last name. However, their family do not have a last name. Should I put "None", "N/A", or leave it blank?

Her friend who has gone through the process said to leave it blank. But some people here are saying to never leave any blanks.

Thanks for any help.

Never leave blank on any of your forms as the USCIS don't like it.

The USCIS requires to fill all of the blanks on the forms using "none". While this is somewhat unique situation when there is no family name, I would call USCIS for instructions.

Though the main question is if you are applying for spousal visa which you are. This means that you are married, didn't your wife got your last name during the marriage??? Also look how it is on the marriage certificate for her name and do exactly the same.

Good luck on your journey.

I wouldn't leave it blank...she has no last name, so I would put "NONE". You can put an * next to it and on the bottom of the form put a small note that says: NOTE-I DO NOT HAVE LAST NAME BECAUSE OF...." whatever the reasoning might be. For example, it would look like this:

Last Name: NONE*

On bottom of G-325A you would do this: *NOTE: I do not have last name because of....." you can type it or handwrite it...whichever you prefer.

My Fiance's father has absolutely no recollection of the day or month he was born and has no birth records; he only remembers the year. So I placed a * next to it on the Form and explained on the bottom and we had no issues. Although that is a little different than not having a last name, but I just thought to share. ~Jill

Don't leave it blank, doing so could result in an RFE. My wife doesn't have a middle name, so what we did was put dashes through that entire box for a middle name. I would suggest doing the same in the last name box for your wife's form.

That's a great idea. I will most definitely give an explanation.

Thank you all for your replies :)
