Hi Everyone,

I really need your help.

Today my fiancée interviewed at the US Embassy at Frankfurt and overall the whole interview went very nice. At the end, the interviewing officer told my fiancée that (since this is the second petition) and with these all kind of evidences and documents, she is totally unsure and confused why the US Embassy at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia denied the visa in the first place. For that reason she said she wants to contact the USE at Addis Ababa to know why the visa was denied before issuing another one here. So she gave to my fiancée a green Slip which says “pending” with phone # to call after a week.

What is this green slip mean? and since the embassy put the process on pending, how long they will take to come into a decision? Please is there anyone that can help me to figure it out. Thanks

More than likely it will remain pending until the consular officer gets an answer from the Addis Ababa Embassy.

Curious, why did the other Embassy deny and when? Also how is it that you came to an iterview in Frankfurt?

The first interview was on Sep 2010 at USE Addis Ababa. According to the Senator from my state, the reason for the denying was insufficient evidence for ongoing relationship. Meanwhile, my fiancée got the scholarship to a University in Germany, so that she ends up interviewing there for the second time.
