Hi everyone,

Me and my beautiful new wife were married 2 weeks ago on a K1 visa. We are now waiting on our offical marriage certificate so she can receive her social security number. This should be any day now so we are wanting to plan our next moves in this long journey. I am assuming we need to file the I-485 AOS as our next step right? The fee for this seems to be 1010.00 which took us by surprise a little. Do we need to also file a I-765 EAD as well as a I-131 Travel Doc as well. If so the 1010.00 fee would take care of I-485 and the I-131 right? I am assuming a social security number is not enough by itself to allow her to work. Thanks for any input this is a little confusing seeing it for the first time. Thanks!!

Wrong the fee is 1070$

Make sure you are looking on USCIS for update fees and information. You could get your petition rejected because of incorrect fees.

EAD and AP documents are no extra charge when filed at the same time as the AOS packet.

Confirm the current filing fees on the USCIS website. When filed together there is no additional fee for the work authorization.
