Hi everyone,

I haven't been on here in awhile as my wife and I have been settling into ur life together. I have a question now that my Wife needs to go home to visit her father in the Philippines(he has been sick). We didn't plan on her needing to leave the country so we never filled out the forms for leaving the country. My question is, My wife has her green card, we will need t fill out the I-751 early next year, can my wife leave the country now with a conditional greencard? Or do we need to fill out forms? Will she only need her Philippine passport?

Basically, is there anything we need to do at this point for her to leave the country and gain re-entry into the US. Also, is there a time limit on how long she can stay out of the country?

Thank you for your help and God Bless everyone.

the 2 year GC has the same rights and responsibilities as the 10 year GC, she can travel the same day she recieves it.

she only needs her passport and GC.

to not have problems, under 6 months to not have major problems.

she can traval international if she has a permanent resident card,if she has a phillippine passport in her maiden name then she must purchest the ticket in that name to match the passport name,,to come back home to the united states she use the permanent resident care and her copy of her marriage certificate to enter the us.

Conditional GC, her passport and ticket with same name is all that is needed. My wife has travel twice to the PI and is still a Conditional Resident.

Yeah, paperwork to travel is only needed between the time of getting married and receiving 2year green card (advance parole.) After getting the green card she is free to travel on that alone.
