NOA2 Approval was last Aug 10. I called the NVC today and got our NVC / MNL Case Number. Yay! What are the next steps?

Are these steps correct:

1. Pay the Visa Fee of 350 USD at BPI

2. Schedule for an interview.

Questions are:

1. What form(s) should I accomplish so I could book for an interview? Do I need to accomplish / submit DS-160 online?

2. What's the best way to book, via call center or online?

3. Do I need to wait for the Packet from US Embassy before booking for an interview?

Please help. Thank you so much guys :)

You need to complete the DS-160 on-line (FYI~it requires uploading a photo) and pay the fee before you can schedule the interview. I would book your own appointment on-line by yourself - the call center isn't always "on top of things" so to speak, and they don't know the answers to a lot of questions. When you book the appointment yourself, it gives you the capability to print the confirmation...I just think it's better to do it yourself. As far as the Embassy question, I will leave that to someone else who knows more about that Embassy. Best of luck!

Hehehehe. Funny story. The packet from the US Embassy arrived when I came home from my interview!

We don't need DS-160. The basic forms (they could ask you more docs for evidential support) they require from you are:

  • 2 copies DS-156
  • 2 copies DS 157
  • 1 copy DS 156K (need to sign this only in front of the consul)
  • 2 pieces Visa photos
  • NBI Clearance
  • Police Clearance (although they didn't ask this from me)
  • CENOMAR (if single) or papers to prove eligibility to remarry (if married before)
  • I-134 - Affidavit of Support from Petitioner
  • Form 1040 - Tax Return from Petitioner
  • W2 forms from Petitioner (they didn't ask this from me)
  • Photos with petitioner

Hello, I think these info helps a lot. I am trying to gather all the requirements as well, & one question that I have in mind right now is, does I-134 - Affidavit of Support be original or scanned copy will do? Thanks!!!:)

1. You do not need DS 160. It's for Non Immigrant applicants only. Other forms were mentioned above me.

2. I scheduled my interview online. It was hassle free and as easy as logging in on facebook. As long as you allotted ample time from the payment in the bank to going online (minimum 3 hours).

3. Don't wait for it as long as you have your case number you can proceed with your medical exam. Just bring your NOA2 and passport.
