I thought we were in an economy where there where, you know... a bunch of people out of work. Those are, after all, what the stats were talking about right?

Being paranoid about the government some times is OK. All the time, not so healthy.

10.7 unemployment in a city of Hundred thousand vs one of ten thousand. adds up to a lot more people out of work.

lake county has 20.000 Marion 40.000 total 60.000

the whole state has 260.000 unemployed

that adds up to over 20% of the states total and believe me its much worse then the figures show in those areas. but other parts are growing, those in low tax areas.

Great. I feel so much better now. Why? Well, because you just made me realize that Florida is better off than Texas. Sure, we have 10.7% unemployment while Texas has a lower rate at 8.4%. But since there are so many more people living in Texas, there are actually more unemployed people in Texas (~975,000) than there are in Florida (~865,000). So, Texas, then, contributes more to the national unemployment problem than Florida. Talk about a slick way to unmiracle the Texas miracle!

But since there are so many more people living in Texas, there are actually more unemployed people in Texas (~975,000) than there are in Florida (~865,000). So, Texas, then, contributes more to the national unemployment problem than Florida. Talk about a slick way to unmiracle the Texas miracle!

Well, now that you mention it, neither NY nor IL are as much of a drag on this country as TX. TX has more unemployed people than either of these states. And TX even has a higher unemployment rate than NY. TX is dump. I finally see the light. The only state that contributes more to the ranks of the unemployed than TX is CA. Now there's a strange alliance...

America will be in a better place when neighboring states don't poach each other and snipe at each other, but see the Union as greater than the sum of the states. The guys to get are the Chinese and Indians, not the Illinoisans or Wisconsinites.

They do at that but McCoy thrives in that atmosphere. Unfortunately I think his O-line is not ready yet and he will be pummeled into injuries.

The Browns O-line wouldn't be ready even if they had Art Shell, Gene Upshaw, Jim Otto, George Buehler and Bob Brown in their respective primes. Cleveland is a wasteland for young QBs. The only place worse is Buffalo, haven't had an Offensive Line in years. :help:
