What time does the US Embassy in Manila open for applicants?

I'm a little confused, our appointment time says 06:45 on September 15, 2011 (doesn't specify whether it's PM or AM so I'm assuming they're using a 24 hour clock). However, on the Manila US Embassy's website, it says there that the Embassy doesn't open until 8:00am and closes at 8:00pm.

I got this from the Embassy Info tab:

The Visa Information and Appointment Service is now accessible from Monday to Friday only, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except on Philippine and U.S. holidays.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

It's in the morning. The other offices in the embassy do not open til 8:00 am. However, the department doing the interviews open a little bit earlier. The guards would make the people fall in line a little before 6:00 am and start checking on the passport and the interview appointment letter. Then they would let you proceed towards the door where they will check on your bag and things like that.

6:45 am I think is the earliest scheduled time, mine was at 7:00 am but be there around 6:00 am as the line goes really long and the guards wouldn't put preference on what time your interview is until you are really inside the embassy.

Good Luck on your journey!

I'm really confused. The 8am-8pm schedule came from the official website of the Embassy. However, my fiancee's appointment was setup online through ustraveldocs. I hope I didn't get a jacked up schedule. Can anybody confirm what the current times for the embassy are?

Wow! I am really thankful for the replies! I was just typing this then I saw your reply right after I posted it. Thank you so much!

Wow! The embassy must really have a hectic interview schedule now. When I was interviewed two years ago, I arrived at a 5:45 am and there was no official line yet but there were a lot of people already. Then at around 6:00 am, the guards started organizing the lines. I got inside at around 6:15 am. My interview was scheduled at 7.

Now that there is an earlier schedule, I think it would really be prudent to go really early like as you've said around 5 am.

It's in the morning. Hey we have the same interview schedule. Mine is also on September 15th, but at 6:30AM. Is your fiancee from Manila, or outside of Manila? I am from Cebu. When is her medical examination schedule? Did you receive any e-mail notification from NVC? I did not and I am still waiting on my appointment letter from the embassy. As much as I wanted to go get my medical done, I can't yet because I don't have these documents to present to SLEC.

hello. my interview is on Sept 2 and I had my medical on Aug 22-23, 2011. I didn't wait for appointment letter from the embassy anymore. I just print out the email from the embassy when I scheduled my interview and that's the one I presented to SLMEC together w/ my passport......

good luck...

Really? The confirmation e-mail for the interview? OK, will do that. I planned on having my medical on Sept. 1 & 2, so now I know I can go ahead with that. Thank you very much for the info!
