Hi,

I got my wife's NOA2 approval on August 15, 2011. I am wondering what is the current wait for the package to leave to the Islamabad Embassy and get an interview date?

Those who got their current NOA2 approval and their interview scheduled, if you can share your time interval to get an idea.

Thanks,

Tariq & Mehvish

You realize you have a whole process to do at the NVC stage before it goes anywhere else?

You pay fees and send paperwork etc. Might be good to do some research to see what you need to do.

Edit on review you are using the wrong terms, you don't get an NOA2 from the NVC. You get a completed case and the NVC books your interview for you. You should be in contact with the NVC to find out the interview date.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

When I call NVC, the message says that " ... your Case was completed on August 15, 2011. Please allow ... "

From the message, I know my wife's NVC case is complete.

Now for the NVC case to move to the Islambad Embassy, I am wondering how long it took for people with their "Approved" NVC cases to get an interview date.

@inky: You are correct, I used NOA2 approval. It should be NVC case approval.

I mustve called maybe the 3rd week of May just to see if my case was completed and the lady said it was and that they couldnt schedule my husband for an interview for June b/c all the slots were filled. She couldnt say when it would be scheduled but I had a feeling if not june than it must be July. On May 27th I received an email that my husband's interview was on July 12.

From my experience yours maybe in October b/c I think they like to give you few weeks to get your medical exam done as well as collect any missing documents. You probably will be hearing from them in couple weeks.

Good luck to you!

Thank You for your response.

I am glad to hear that the interview won't be too far from now. My vacation expires by end of this year and would like to use it for my wife's immigration.

My husbands case was completed august 19, just a few days after your wifes. Still havent heard anything abt an interview date but i hope soon!

Its good you found someone close to your husbands case.

If I hear anything I will let you know since the interview dates should not be too far apart.

And if you hear anything, please do let me know. My whole time off from work depends on this interview date.

Thanks!
