It's the same god. Yeshua just put a friendly, loving spin on him. Yeshua was the original hippy....the peace and love flower child sent to be YHVH/Allah/God's spindoctor.

Fundamentalist Baptists have much the same mindset as Fundamentalist Extremist Muslims. Fundi Baptists use the OT as their justification, Fundi Muslims use the Qu'ran. It's all in there, if you're looking hard enough for it.

I have read parts of the Old Testament. I am, however, a baptised Christian. We believe in Jesus (the God Man) who established the New Covenant (or testament). Yahweh is a merciful God-that's why He sent His only Son to die for our sins. If I didn't believe that, I would not be a Christian. And I state again-my God is the God of LOVE; anything else or any other context of that God is a PERVERSION, and is not my God.

Actually, THAT version of god is a perversion of the ORIGINAL, Jewish god. You've only read PARTS of the Old Testament???? The Old Testament is the story of the beginnings of your religion! How can you understand later events in the New Testament if you haven't read the OT in its entirety?

The words you are saying here are part of the reason that many Muslims hate us so. You are stating that your personal beliefs are the only acceptable ones, and that anything else is a perversion.

The god of Christianity is not a god of love any more than Islam is a religion of peace. Neither is purely love nor purely peace.

I stand by what I say. Sorry if you don't like it-you certainly don't have to. Yes, I have read parts of the Old Testament. I took a class on the Minor Prophets, in fact, where the Messiah was very clearly prophesied...so those who claim they follow the Old Testament obviously don't believe the whole thing, which references the coming of JESUS as the Messiah, so what can I say? I don't pick bits and pieces of things to believe, so I can't really relate to that.

Why have we gone off topic? Happens all the time here, but I agree, we should get back to topic...

As for the rest of your comment, I definitely agree-these individuals clearly have a warped (I'm used to the term perverted) sense of their religion. So twisted in fact, that what they are doing goes completely against the nature of God. In essence, they have created a form of self-worship (as I mentioned before, god of self) where their only aim is to fulfill the desires of their hate-filled hearts.

The way I see it is we need more 'dirty Harrys' like George, Tony and John (US, UK and AUS) who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves to deal with the issue. If decent muslims are afraid of standing up to these clowns they should at least support our determination to rid the earth of this plague..

If decent muslims are afraid of standing up to these clowns they should at least support our determination to rid the earth of this plague..

Maybe they should focus their actions more on the actual terrorists, and less on what looks good, but is really not benefitting anyone except themselves.
