Finally an interview date... 10 / 24/ 2011 We have waited along time. We first filed October 9th 2010 so it has been almost a year. After medical issues and afterthe London Embassy having our papers for a month, its finally arranged....

For those of you who have finished your interviews, could you please let me know how long it took for you to get your visa and passport back? My wife has her interview on the 31st of october, hoping to travel to US by the 10-11th of november. Gives us about 8 working days for them to process and ship, can it be done ?

Seems like most have theirs back within about 3 or 4 working days. My husband just had his interview today so I'll let you know for sure. I know Thomas had his interview on the 5th of Oct and had his passport back on the 7th

What documents did you take to the interview and what was it like?

I just had John take a copy of the i-864 paperwork and the DS-230 paperwork. Luckly he had it because they said something was missing (although we sent it) and he just gave them a copy of it. Asked how long we had been together, why he left after he got here on the k1, how we keep in touch...that was it then said congratulations.

Had my interview Tue 27 Sep. Visa/passport was delivered Sat 1 Oct (4 days later).

I just had John take a copy of the i-864 paperwork and the DS-230 paperwork. Luckly he had it because they said something was missing (although we sent it) and he just gave them a copy of it. Asked how long we had been together, why he left after he got here on the k1, how we keep in touch...that was it then said congratulations.

Pretty much the same as me. I took copies of everything but needed none of it (not the case for many- so go prepared). Then a few simple questions and was approved. Easy

nice.. did u guys not took wedding albums or proof of relationship like conversations etc

No he didnt take anything like that with him. When I submitted the packet back in March I sent pictures, photocopies of cards, copies of screen shots showing dates of emails so I figured that should suffice lol

Anyone else experiencing erratic mood swings? I've gone though all the rational emotions now (sadness to be away from him, happiness we're getting things sorted, anger it's taking so long, hopefulness, depression, desperation...) that I think my body's gone, "sod this!" and finally gone crazy.

12-17-11 - POE - YYC (preclearance in Canada)

2011 to 2013 - Life happened

06-26-13 - Divorce finalized

10-07-13 - I-751 divorce filer paperwork journey begins

07-03-14 - ROC interview - approval pending delayed background checks

07-25-14 - APPROVED! 10 year GC is finally in production!

08-01-14 - 10 year GC in hand. The journey has finally ended. :)

2014 to 2020 - Living paperwork-free and focused on me!

11-09-20 - N-400 filed online - welcome back VJ fam!

6-22-21 - Interview in Nashville, approved! And then...

6-22-21 - Pledge of Allegiance taken. Holy shirtballs I'm a US Citizen.

Yes been through it all. Actually the majority of the emotions were before and after we sent our forms off back in Feb, My husband sent them wrong and they went missing for 3 months. Then we finely decided to re-send them (as haven't heard anything) in May- since May its been smooth and relatively fast (3 months for NOA2)- im thinking what on earth i was so worried about before i sent them. It did help that I saw him for 2 months over the summer and we didnt even think about the NOA2 and it was a nice surprise when it came after 3 months.

July 2010 - Hubby and our children moved back to USA (for work etc)

Nov 2010 - Visited for 3 weeks (it hurts like mad to be away from them)

June 2011 - visited for 4 weeks

26th June 2011 -I-130 Express Mail to Chicago

28th June 2011- I-130 Chicago signed for package

12th July - Returned to UK..

29th June 2011 - USCIS informed me Noa1 mailed on 29th June

2nd July 2011 - Touched

8th August 2011 - Expedite approved

12th August 2011 - Touched

12th August 2011 - The dreaded RFE!

9th September 2011 - RFE received by CSC - being reviewed!

13th September 2011 - USCIS approved

19th September 2011 - NVC received file.

4th October 2011 - NVC # assigned, emailed dob amendment email (amended now), emailed DS-3032, Logged into payment portal (not invoiced), booked medical - 20th October

5th October 2011 - Emailed expedite

6th October 2011 - 2 emails from NVC (expedite and ds-3032 responses)

- SIF at payment portal.

7th October 2011 - expedite approved

12th October 2011 - case left NVC (nice birthday present!)

13th October 2001 - case arrived in UK

20th October 2011 - Medical - passed

24th October 2011 - DS-230 & DS-2001 received by Embassy

3rd November 2011 - interview - approved

4th November 2011 - text message from courier, saying they are delivering on Monday

7th November 2011 - Visa received

10th November 2011 - POE - LA
