YES! By the skin of our teeth!

We filed our 1-130 in November, it feels like it has been an eternity!

My husband had his interview this morning, and they initially denied him because the tax transcripts I provided in my I 864 weren't correct (!). I requested the transcripts through the IRS website, so i'm not really certain I understand the difference in what I gave vs. what they were looking for. They informed him we would need a co-sponsor. FORTUNATELY, he pleaded, and showed our bank statements with our savings, and asked them to reconsider based on my offer letter from my job (a FEDERAL job) and paystubs. She took the info away, and came back with a bottle of white-out (Tipex!), and actually changed her original notations to say we were approved! WHEW!

GLAD THIS IS OVER!

I can appreciate how you feel. We were going to be denied too before I had to point out a few things, like the fact that my assets were actually mine with my name on!. I wonder if we had the same woman interviewing us? Hope your visa gets to you soon. Mine took 5 days. Good luck.

Congratulations!!! That seems bizarre that your tax transcripts weren't correct? Were they the ones that came in the mail? Maybe it was the wrong year or something. But I'm glad you were approved!!

Maybe you somehow had the err tax account transcripts rather than the tax return transcripts? Other than that I can't figure out how they could be wrong! But congratulations! Must feel doubly good for your husband after that moment of fear!
