Dear everyone ! My NBI clearance was issued last May 24, 2011 and I am set for interview this coming October (3rd week). I hope to get an updated copy of my NBI, but, I was informed by our NBI here that they are now on manual process so it will take over 2 months to get an updated copy. What is the requirement of NBI clearance during the interview ? Does the consul requires updated copy ? I thought NBI clearance is valid for 1 year from date of issued. Would this be a possible problem ?

Thank you for the link and I read it... but, the problem is our NBI here is on manual process and will take them over 2 months for renewal. I live in the province. My interview is less than 2 months from now - God's will.

I can get one in Manila but i already know i have a "hit" and it will take like 2 weeks. anyway, i just talked to someone i met during my medical at st. luke's. she had her interview last friday and her NBI was dated March 2011 and the consul accepted it.

Going to a Manila NBI office is your quickest route for an update. It is a tedious process, but an absolute requirement.

hi i think your nbi is still okey and i dont think that you will have any troubles in submitting them in USEM, coz the nbi certificate is good for 1 year. plus based on my experience my interview was july 18,2011 then i submitted my nbi certificate to them that was going to expire on oct. 28 2011 i didn't got any problems with my documents and they did accept it:-) so no worries your nbi cert. is still good

when i got my interview last aug. my NBI will expired this October...But the CO who interviewed me didn't asked me a new NBI clearance so on your case your NBI is still good, you don't need to get a new one....

Ok, thank you to all those who shared.... very helpful ! God bless, everyone ! :)
