Hi all! I had xray last march for our company's annual PE and result was haziness in both lower lobes and suggested for spot view. i talked to our company doctor and he just asked me how i was feeling. i told him i only have coughs occasionally but nothing serious and that time i cant even remember the last time i had a cough so he cleared me . My worry is if i do xray for my medical and shows the same result will this be for sputum test? does haziness on lower lobes lead to sputum test? thank you.

We all know, SLEC is extremely picky. When you complete the SLEC x-rays and if there is haziness, they will call you to complete a 2nd set. If they still see the haziness, they will probably require the sputum test.

Sorry to tell you this, but this is SLEC's reputation.

Sorry to say but Yes, you are most likely to be subjected to a sputum test. They tend to be OA that even a small dot in xrays = SPUTUM. Let's hope for the best though! They are just doing their job. :)
