There is a sort of 'scandal walks on water' feel in this forum, not sure where it comes from. I recall a thread that was started not to long ago asking where he went, how smart he was and how they wish that he would come back.

I'm just skimming this thread now. Kind of weird seeing my name show up so often.

I do have strong opinions on this topic, it's true. Look, I've lived in Israel off-and-on for about a quarter of my life at different stages. I have family and friends there, and strong ties to it. I proudly declare that I love and support what Israel is and represents. I also criticize polices and government leaders that I think are leading it down the wrong track.

Since it seems to have come up, I also would point out that I long ago made a habit on Internet forums not to bother debating people with whom I just don't get along. This isn't work where I'm required to deal with people I'd just as soon not. This is meant to be for fun, right? I do enjoy debate, which is why I come on here. But only with people that in my view have a sense of decorum. If I don't enjoy it, why repeat the process? Life is short. I have a list of folks here on VJ that I just put on auto-ignore. I'd rather just enjoy the forums with those that I get along better with. That's my right. Nobody can force me to engage them if I don't want to.

Anyway, I don't check VJ during the day while I'm at work so don't expect to see anything from me M-F 8-5 Central time.

I logged on now just to catch up but no time to play, we're going to a concert tonight.

No one's forcing you to do anything. Just don't send in your minions to do it for ya. As for decorum, lame excuse. Cowardice is more like it. You don't like it when anyone else has passion or disagrees with you, and you demonstrate it by demanding that they back off or you will end your friendship with them. We've seen you do that to IR5 at least twice in the last few days, and you did it to me. I didn't back down, so you consider me lacking in decorum. No, I'm just lacking any interest to get my opinions from you.

There is no one else on this board that I haven't sparred with and can't still have fun with, too. I've joked on this thread, and on others like this one. Why_Me, Simpson, IR5, AJ, Mark, Charles, pretty much anyone, has had a go at me and most still find me open to their thoughts at another time. I don't hold their opinions against them or define them by their posts; certainly not for as long as you do. It's been at least two years since you called me a terrorist and shut me down for disagreeing with you. I don't miss you at all.

Unlike you, I don't hold a grudge when someone doesn't agree with me. That's the significant and defining difference between you and I, scandal.

Debating is fun, but it's hard to enjoy a debate if you refuse to accept friendly disagreement is an element of it. So, buh bye. We are grown ups who can carry on well enough without you.

But anything else is OK? Fair enough, the US Army will now act in proxy capacity for the PA and Hamas, any and all incursions by the IDF will be met with equal resistance by the US Army. The US Army will patrol the streets and stop the nuts who try launch the missiles, since Hamas won't have to. I like your idea.
