I-130 London delay what a PIA

Okay so we filed our I-130 DCF to London back in March. The processing date is way past, so after a few calls to London they told us they were awaiting my 'A file' from the U.S. (presumably from my K-1 Visa 18 months ago)

So more time passed and we contacted them again to find out why it was taking so long only to be told that our case was in Rome and we had to contact them.

We emailed Rome and got told the same, they were waiting for a file from the U.S.

Well another month has now passed and nothing. I have emailed Rome again for an update but now i'm not getting a reply from them.

Should this really be taking so long? We gave up our home and sold the car etc expecting to be going for interviews around now and my wife has moved back to the U.S. to find employment, its a massive PIA. Can anyone offer any advice on this?

Thanks

Try calling DOS to get a case update. It may be that you've been approved sometime in the past month but sometimes it's several weeks until you receive the letter. If you have been approved recently then I wouldn't say it was an inordinately long time given the current time-lines.
