Got NVC Case Number – What to do with that?

Hi everybody, I got my NVC Case Number and they told me they forwarded my Papers to the US Embassy in my Country but what do I have to do with the Case Number and will the US embassy in Switzerland contact me once they get the papers from NVC? :unsure:

The case number NVC gave you is the new case number that will be used at the embassy. Your case number with USCIS is not necessary at this time. So if you need to obtain information about your case from now on you will use this case number. The embassy will send you packets 3 and 4 after they have received your case. Whether they send them both at the same time, I do not know. You can go find your Embassy through the Embassy Info tab and see if it tell you there.

4-24-11: Received by the consulate in Abu Dhabi

4-27-11:Received both packet 3 & 4 via e-mail from Abu Dhabi

7-25-11:Interview date-Administrative Processing

8-3-11:Administrative Processing ended - APPROVED!!!!!! :D

8-25-11:POE-SFO

9-10-11:Married!!!

9-26-11:Sent AOS Packet

10-6-11:Received NOA1s via text and E-mail

10-9-11:NOA1 hardcopies received, along with biometrics appointment letter

10-25-11:Biometrics Appointment

How do you get the NVC case #? I got NOA2 about a week ago. Plan on start reading the guides soon on the next steps. But, since you mentioned it...

I called National Visa Center (603-334-0700) and they gave me my Case Number.
