Hi everyone,

I was convicted of the traffic offence of a DUI in Feb 2010, my first offence, which was a fine and suspension of my licence for three months. Will this stop me being able to getting approved for my K1 at all?

Hope you can help - my fiance is freaking out a little over it...

A DUI in Kangarooland has the same impact on your K-1 application as if a shovel on the backside of the Moon fell sideward.

Yes, you'll be fine. If you'd been a habitual offender there may be issues, or if the DUI was illegal drugs rather than alcohol, But a one time DUI won't have an effect on your K1.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

How many people were killed? If there was no felony convictions, then you are good to go.
