I noticed a couple of my fellow September 2010 K1 filers in here with September 12 Biometrics appointments. That happens to be our day as well. It will be exactly 364 days from when I sent in the K-1

I just got my interview notice last week and I'm going to have my interview on December 8! I'm hoping that I would get my greencard before this year ends!

oh my gosh, now they sent me a THIRD interview letter for Dec 8th. (Not a cancellation, not a reschedule). I have no idea what they are doing with my application.

09/27/11 - Biometrics Done

10/11/11 - IL for 11/10/11

10/15/11 - IL Rescheduled from 11/10/11 to 11/14/11 from Local Office

10/17/11 - IL Cancellation for 11/10/11

10/25/11 - 2nd IL for 11/29/11 <---- Disregard & Appear at 11/14 as per InfoPass

I havent received the physical letter yet, but magically, my Online Status is working again and is in the "TESTING & REVIEW" stage and thats where i read they sent out another IL.

We have also now received 3 interview dates for the Jacksonville office. Since we received a notice from the local office rescheduling us to the 14th we are going to show up to that one... I guess if they send us away we will be back on the 28th. Although it still makes me worry about not showing up on the 10th...

July 24,2010- Nigel proposed!!

September 1, 2010- posted the k-1 (lewisville address)

September 3, 2010 - forwarded to dallas

September 6, 2010- recieved in dallas

September 7, 2010 - forwarded to vermont service center

September 8, 2010- offical date of NOA1

September 9, 2010- text and email alerts 2:30 a.m.!!! but worth being woke up to

September 10, 2010 check cashed

October 3, 2010- joined VJ going bonkers waiting....

March 4, 2011 NOA2 after a long 177 days waiting ( no text email or onliine update.. still says in review)

March 10, 2011 NVC received and issued LND#

March 12, 2011 NOA2 hard copy received

March 17, 2011 we are at London.. packet 3 sent out

March 18, 2011 packet 3 sent back to London

March 22,2011 MRV-paid

April 1, 2011 Medical

April 15, 2011 Interview- Approved! orignal interview date May 13 requested to move forward received less than a days notice.

yeah u better request for a service... go and call it worked for me.. see? i just asked then a service request just this afternoon and tonight my EAD is for production already... :yes::thumbs:

On Friday, I received my EAD card. For some reason I thought this was only valid for a couple of months but apparently it's valid for 1 year.

Very excited now to move (we have just purchased a house and are moving in less than 2 weeks) and get on with our lives.

I have also just recently gotten my Driver's License but unfortunately it's only valid up to the date of my visa expiration. What proof can I provide to extend my license? Does anyone have experience with this?

EAD's are valid for one year as far as I know so that is correct. And someone can correct me if i'm wrong but the driver's license expiration cannot be valid beyond the expiration of your valid immigration documents. So say you only have 6 months left on your ead and you go to renew your license (if you had an existing one), they would only renew you for another 6 months. There's really nothing you can do to extend the validity of your DL unless you renew again showing proof of another immigration document that lasts longer.

So say you got your conditional green card, you could renew with that but your DL would expire on the same date as your conditional green card expiration.

My wife got her green card on Friday! :dance:

We are done until it is time to lift conditions.

08/2011 - Got married.

08/19/2011- AOS Application filed (I-485, I-130, I-765)

09/02/2011- NOA of Acceptance

09/27/2011- Biometric Appointment

10/18/2011- EAD approved

10/25/2011- Interview letter invitation

10/27/2011- EAD card in hand

11/16/2011- Interview date (Approved on the spot, no stamp on the passport)

11/17/2011- Card production

11/22/2011- Post-Decision Activity that USCIS has mailed the noticed of the approved I-485 application.

11/25/2011- Received the GC and Welcome to the USA letter! Thank you VisaJourney! Thank you Lord!
