oh wow! where do you have to drive from? We just got a letter today said they cancelled our appt. for the 10th and have rescheduled it to the 14th

We are just east of tallahassee.. just super annoying to make arrangements to have the day of from work then have to go back and get a different day approved.. wonder why they needed to change it anyway??? you will have to give us the heads up on what they ask

August AOS filer checking in. STILL waiting for our EAD and we desperately need it. I hope that this week is the week we hear word. No movement on the website and the USCIS is a factory for robots... I'm convinced of it

Hey guys just wanted to update you guys...we had our AOS interview at 2:45 this afternoon and it lasted no more than 5 minutes. We were asked how did we meet where did we get married and who was there. The gentleman told us that he should receive his green card in 5 to 10 days. Very easy and we were very nervous but is was a breeze! Best of luck to everyone

Thanks little_g! I was getting very nervous about it, as you can tell by the gif. Judging by your timeline, you should get yours very very soon, so hang on in there!

I don't know if this really has anything to do with it, but it does feel a little slower going on the east coast. Fingers crossed that you get it by the end of the week!

We just got the txt/email!!!! It was a little after 9PM EST. Just when I was losing hope too! I checked the site and nothing changed. We pretty much hung our heads and counted on it being forever and then the text came through. My husband thought I was joking as we only just looked online hehehe! I was like "NO LOOK!" and showed him the text and email. Anyway just figured I'd update you all.

I hope so as well. We were very nervous about it because the only utility bill we have is electric and they wont put both our names on it and we couldnt get his name on the lease because he did not have a job so all we had as evidence was a credit card, our bank account, gym membership and photos. We had two friends write affidavits attesting to our marriage and living together. We were prepared to be grilled but it was so simple. How did we meet, where did we get married and who was there.

Oh a cool thing (at least in my world) they had our file in front of him and he had everything we had ever given the government even envelopes and such that were taken at the K-1 interview it was about 5 inches thick of just paper...maybe it scared the officer to look through it all so he just approved us

We filed early august, but have not seen any movement on our EAD. We did receive an RFE for some documents not filled out properly or lacking. We sent that stuff in pretty rapidly and now our AOS status says RFE evaluation or whatever the official title is.

What are the experiences of other august filers with regards to getting your EAD? I seem to remember reading that AOS now only takes about 2-3 months total, which made it easy to understand they were not doing anything with our EAD (AOS would be completed within same time frame so why treat both cases).

Is my 2-3 month expectancy for AOS correct? If not, I would hope to receive my EAD soon because it is obviously not ideal to survive financially with no income from my part.

Hi all,

Update. We received a NOA for an interview on November 16, 2011. But I have not received the EAD yet. Is the EAD supposed to come first before the NOA for interview, isn't it? Has anybody in here have the same experience? How do you prepare for the interview? Documents? My hubby could not add me to his bank accounts because I don't have SSN yet. We need the EAD to get SSN, and we need SSN to get a bank account together.
