08/22/2011 - Checked Status Online: Initial Review with a notice : On August 22, 2011, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICA TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJU STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious ef on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-528 update your mailing address for this notice to be sent.

I called twice and update my mailing address.

08/26/2011 - I received a letter in mail from USCIS NBC about the status of my recent calls about the service I requested (Update my address). It said they have updated my address in their systems and on my applications.

08/31/2011 - Initial Review: transferred I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing.

I noticed a couple of my fellow September 2010 K1 filers in here with September 12 Biometrics appointments. That happens to be our day as well. It will be exactly 364 days from when I sent in the K-1

I just got my interview notice last week and I'm going to have my interview on December 8! I'm hoping that I would get my greencard before this year ends!

Yes, I used USPS for sending my AOS application. I just got an email and text notification for NOA lastnight? Did you filed your application this month too?

Yes, I got the details on my signature so I thought I could join this thread. :) I sent it on Saturday, the 6th of August and they got it yesterday, the 8th of August. I'm waiting impatiently for the txt message and email.

Hey we are gunna join too! Sent ours usps on July 29 and got the email notification on August 3rd...no text notification though...Haven't received our NOA hard copy yet but according to our case status on the USCIS website our NOA date is august 1good.gif excited for this to be done so we can relax for a lil bit

I got the txt msgs & emails yesterday, the 11th of August. I added my receipt #s this morning as they didn't work last night. I then checked my bank acc. and the 1,070 check has been cashed yesterday, 11th. It is obvious that I noticed immediately that some good money is missing. Ha! Then I saw the check. :(:):(:) Oh well :D

After adding the cases to my portfolio on my USCIS account, I noticed that my possible NOA date is the 9th of August(On August 9, we received and mailed you such and such). I'm waiting for the hard copy, but I'm pretty sure it will say the same thing. I'm beyoooond happy!

hey ours said august 1st in our email and that was the same date that was on our NOA hard copies we got today so most likely its the 9th for you guysgood.gif

We got our biometrics letter today one day after getting our NOA for the AOS and EAD...Biometrics is scheduled for August 28th but we are going to try a walk in this monday hopefully it works

We also filed beginning of August, NOA shows they received it August 5th. Now should I interpret the timelines from the official NOA date or from the date of receipt of the NOA letter?

Okay thanks, I have changed my timeline info.

I am sort of hoping to get waived for the interview, what is a rough estimated time gain when you get the waiver?

I am hoping that we get waived as well it would be so nice not to have an interview!

It seems that when people get transferred it takes about 3 months from getting their NOA to getting their green card...I could be wrong but from some of the timelines I have seen that seems to be the case.

We mailed the AOS, EAD and AP on 8/3

NOA1 date on 8/8

Received appointment letter for biometrics on 8/15

The biometrics appointment is still for 9/6 but I will try to do a walk-in this week.

After the biometrics, what is the next step?

received on 8/15

text messages and emails confirming receipt of I-485, I-765, I-131 on 8/18

check cashed on 8/18

PHEW!! looks like everything made it okay and is in process!! kicking.gif

any idea how long it's been taking to get your letter for biometrics appointment??

(okay I just looked at the post above and it seems like it's taking about a week)
