My fiance lived and worked in the UK back in 2008 so now that we are filing for the K-1 he is required to obtain police records from the UK.

I downloaded the forms to determine what information he would need and I noticed that ACRO only accepts payment in British pounds.

What would be the best option for my fiance, who is Indian, to send the payment as required?

Would he be able to convert the cost into Indian rupees and write a check that way?

Very confused on what to do.

I am the petitioner.

Hello, my fiance had the same issue, but he had to obtain his pcc from Australia, cashiers check made out to AFP in Australia Dollars. He went to a major city (Amritsar in Punjab) near him and found a bank that made out the cashiers check (demand draft) in Australian Dollars, without a problem. He had to go to quite a few banks before he found that one in particular. Here's a link of what i'm talking about: http://www.bankofbaroda.com/int/remittances.asp

He received the police report without any problems. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey :)

This is extremely helpful! Thank you for taking the time to answer this. My fiance may even have to go to Amritsar! (It's closer than going to New Delhi)

I am the petitioner.
