Hi all,My wife got blue slip for the interview and was told to come back in September to submit the add't paperwork, however, I took VJ's advice and told her to go early since our paperwork is ready, she went to the consulate yesterday, after waiting for 4 hours, she was told that the CO was busy and to go home and come back on the date of blue slip to resubmit the add't paperwork. My question is should I tell my wife to go to consulate again? and keep trying until the CO accepts her paperwork? or should my wife do as she was told, to come back on the stated date? What is the chances of the CO actually take a look at our file on the stated date? Thanks!!!!!! :help:

Take your chance and come back early. On the other hand, that might piss off the C/O for failing to follow instructions. Read the BOLD part you posted at least 10 times. Whether to ignore it is up to you two. By the way FYI, my family waited 12 years from start to finish to have our chance for the interview from the Us C/O. About a month of waiting seems too long for you two heah?

This poster is responding to an RFE / blue slip which are routinely submitted prior to the date shown on the form.

How is your family's wait time relevant to the question?

OP - Depending what was requested the CO may be able to make a determination that same day. What type of info is being turned in?

they asked for verification of my employment, so should i tell my wife to submit it earlier ? if she goes there on the stated date, what is the average time frame they will give her a reply? thanks man

Are you only verifying employment (submitting an employer letter), or also verifying income (paystubs)? I'd think that's an easy one. I would be inclined to bring that as soon as possible.

both, and like i said my wife waited for more than 4 hrs just to be told to go home and come back on the date shown on blue slip, I seriously do not want her to wait hrs long again, but at the same time I want her to submit it asap like you said...how many times should she try going back to the consulate until they accept it ?

I'd go first thing in the morning and wait as long as I needed to. She's going to wait on the designated day as well.

When Linh turned in the info that was requested of us she did not wait until the stated date.

They dont have to accept them early... Sounds like they were being azzh0les.... If the USC goes on the uSC times/days then they always accept info from them... They dont have respect for VNC's and have little for USC's

Re-read, then do that hundreds, thousands, millions of times.......................to bypass time til' the date shown on the blue slip instructing you to come back submitting the requested documents arrives???

Seriously, can you follow instructions?

A month of waiting is nothing. What if your case eventually falls into AR, then you two will have to wait indefinitely til the C/O is satisfied with his/her investigation. Sheese, by then you'd be thankful a month of waiting is peanuts!

Edit to add: Since you said in your very first post of this thread that you followed VJ's advice. Go back there (the CO) and tell them "Hey, I just followed VJ's advice. You should do the same too." See if that trick works!

Sir, not only did I follow VJ's advise, but I also followed instructions aswell, in case you don;t know, the blue slip states "the resubmissions at any other time may be made by mail or dropped off at window B from 1300-1400 any working day"

my wife intended to go there to drop off documents but got rejected

re read the bold part hundreds, thousands, millions times ....see whatcha get outta it

BTW your trick may work wonders! but sorry I aint in the mood to take your advise this time
